Apple usually requires the device to be functional to wipe it directly.

Thanks Gavin. I did the remote erase and it says it will be done when the phone has an Internet connection. If I sell it though could someone still access my info before connecting it to the web?

Will this method whip out all Apple Pay info? It's such a hassle to have to call the financial institutions to have them reenabled.

You shouldn't reset all content and settings when jailbroken. You can only reset phone settings when jailbroken.

This is about resetting all settings, not all contents and settings. Please read the text before posting.

Doing this is not recommended if you are jailbroken. You risk to screw up your phone. Error -1 when restoring.

My dad doesn't know how to do this for sure. It's useful for non-techy people.
