iChild, Jailbreaking is dead, not because there’s no interest in jailbreaking, but because Apple changed their long term policy and began PAYING jail breakers for their exploits, shutting them down before users have the opportunity to up/downgrade to the specific iOS version. If you’re lucky enough to personally know the jailbreaker in question, then good for you, but such ‘early notification’ doesn’t apply to anyone else. Jailbreaks thrived because they were ONCE open to everyone. If it’s now just a private club, who personally profit from exploits which effect EVERYONE, then I’d rather have NO jailbreaks at all. The same jailbreakers who earn a million a pop from Apple, can easily turn around and sell the same exploits to police departments across the globe, in addition to thousands of repressive governments, meaning that YOUR free ride is coming out of OUR personal freedom!

I will say it, for the people that have. Brain and understand what jailbreak is and how this works knows jailbreaking is not dead and will never die cydia purchases are no longer available only and tweaks are always available via other 3rd party payments. So the fools that keep laughing and saying rediculous things here to get some attention you by yourself is the joke. Everyone that hasbbin jailbreaking for years knows better. Cydia isn't dead it will and always be alive and well.

Now Apple will simply activate the auto-pilot and will be more sloppy at patching holes in the iOS. Software Innovation will slow down also.

And companies can learn from their mistakes and bounce back from even the lowest points in their time, plus maybe someday their can be a new cydia or maybe we can get an Apple CEO willing to do this without the sacrifice of security. You never know.

The jailbreak scene is a bygone era. It was awesome while it lasted. The essence of jailbreaking was system modifications. This is what proud and useful numbskulls willing to stay in prison dont realize thinking that jailbreaking was for “free stuff”. The essence of it was for system modifications. Even to date, as the features of each ios release have gotten better, the sucker of it is that apple is always years behind each update. Ios 12 in the way it is now SHOULD HAVE been somewhere and COULD HAVE been released in ios9. And even now, people can’t modify their system in the way that they would like. This made jailbreaking essential, giving users their own power to use their device with graphical and systemic alterations for a much smoother and easier operation of functions. Its crazy how people think not having root access for your own computing device like an iPhone is somehow normal. If you were to ask them to let companies limit their computers and not have basic root access to their own computer they would flip out. Well, its essentially the same and this is what ignorants can’t fathom but I digress

Finally! For all those suckers that still jailbreak, ha ha! There is enough on the phone to do what you need to do. Let’s be honest, you just want free stuff and that’s not cool. There’s no point to jail breaking a device nowadays it’s nice to see that the hackers who started it realize that and are willing to end it like mature adults.

I’m sorry but you really didn’t know how to use those tweaks by jb. There was so many additional features added to your phone. Now Apple will simply activate the auto-pilot and will be more sloppy at patching holes in the iOS Software Innovation will slow down also

Sorry you took the time to learn the tweaks on JB instead of focusing your time on something more productive and worth while. Ouch!

I used to be a regular jailbreaker ever since 2008, currently on stock iOS 12 and most happy about it. Staying locked on iOS 12.1 just in case. No doubt the JB community has been shrinking to barely there numbers, but they manage to stay around nonetheless. Good luck to Saurik and all parties involved, hope they can reinvent themselves to keep on biting the Apple 🍏 😁👌
