Of course you would - nobody can force you to use sideloading!
See it as an extra option as to where to get your apps. If you dont trust isideloading, stay with Apple's store. This is the beauty of it - Freedom of Choice

While I agree it would be nice to put third party apps on the iPhone, we all know the battery will definitely take a hit from these apps and the thing a lot of people love about Apple’s nice, clean apps would also be lost to a degree.

We havent heard of a battery hit from Mac users, so should other i-devices take a hit?
The 'a lot of people' can just continue using Apple's store and leave sideloading alone - Freedom of Choice
