Apple has confirmed to us that the first beta of iOS 17.2 contains a fix for several Wi-Fi issues encountered by users running iOS 17 and iOS 17.1.

Following the release of iOS 17, some users began to experience slow webpage loads, constant buffering, and frequent connection drops when on Wi-Fi. These problems could often be resolved by disabling Wi-Fi then re-enabling it; however, the fix was only temporary.

Now with the release iOS 17.2 beta for developers, Apple says the issue should be permanently resolved.

As a result of your feedback, there are software changes in the latest update, build 21C5029g, that have resolved this issue. You can see the software build your device is running and check for the latest update by tapping on Settings > General > Software Update.

So far, we've noticed an improvement in Wi-Fi performance; however, it's still uncertain if all issues have been completely addressed. Let us know in the comments if your Wi-Fi problems have been fixed after updating to the new beta!
