Apple Pulls iOS 17.3 Beta 2 Following Reports of Bricked iPhones

Apple has pulled the iOS 17.3 beta 2 software update following numerous reports that the release is bricking iPhones.

For some users, the update appears to be putting their device into a boot loop. At this time, it seems the only way to resolve the issue is a restore.

@sergiowpf
Brazil, Vivo, iPhone 15 Pro, 256GB. Trying to update from 17.3 beta 1. After the installation went through, it asked for me to swipe up to finish installation and after that it crashed and the swipe up gesture didn't work anymore. When resetting it, it shows the apple logo and then the spinning circle for half a second, then it disappeares and nothing shows up again.

While early reports suggested the bug might affect users with back tap enabled, some affected users say they did not have the feature turned on.

Had the boot loop after update, back tap was not on. I don't think it's related. (14 Pro Max) Was able to restore previous beta w iMazing and it's fine now but was not fun.

We'd suggest holding off on the beta until Apple has identified the issue and released a fix.
