Developer, Steve Glinberg, today is pleased to announce the updated release of 123 Color HD Talking Coloring Book for iPad; a talking coloring book that teaches numbers and letters in multiple languages including English, Spanish, French, and German.
Glinberg, who is profiled in the Summer 2010 issue of iPhone Life Magazine, is an independent software developer - and more importantly, father - who develops educational and fun iPhone and iPad apps for kids, including 123 Color, 123 World, and KidCalc Math Fun.
123 Color HD's learning activities challenge children to color segments of a drawing. Children find and touch the properly numbered or lettered color on the color pallet. As numbers and letters are touched they are spoken in the selected language(s) and fun sound effects are played. When the drawing is complete, children are rewarded with animated musical notes and a chance to sing along with one of the 25 children's songs included such as "Wheels On The Bus" and "Pop Goes the Weasel!"
123 Color HD perfectly balances entertainment fun with educational value, capturing and holding kids' attention as they learn. 123 Color HD excites and engages kids, makes learning fun and easy, and enables parents to feel great about the games their children want to play.
"There is so much that we can now do as educational software developers given these great new tools that used to be impossible," said Steve Glinberg, 123 Color's developer.
"With 123 Color HD, I aim to provide children with an immersive and exciting multimedia experience where they can learn and play. When I watch my daughter color in the drawings with determination and then quickly move to snapping her fingers, dancing and singing along with the music after she completes each drawing, I get a strong sense that I have accomplished my goal."
123 Color HD was the #1 ranked app on Apple's Top 100 education apps list last month and climbed to the #21 spot on Apple's Top 100 Overall apps list. 123 Color HD has earned features on Apple's list of New & Noteworthy apps for iPad, and Apple's What's Hot list of apps for iPad.
123 Color HD received critical acclaim in the New York Times by technology expert Warren Buckleitner, editor of the Children's Technology Review.
123 Color for iPhone also had an explosive launch, becoming the #1 ranked education app on Apple's Top 100 education apps list in March. Earning a feature on Apple's New & Noteworthy list of apps, 123 Color was the most downloaded education app for iPhone and iPod touch less than two weeks after its initial release and climbed to position #18 on Apple's Top 100 Overall apps list.
123 Color and 123 Color HD are companion apps to Glinberg's top ranked math learning game, KidCalc 7-in-1 Math fun, and top ranked geography coloring book, 123 World HD.
