And if you have a non factory unlock do not upgrade your baseband. It gives you the option, if i remember right.

Do a 5.1.1. to 5.1.1 restore.
Bet you that fixes it. Restoring tends to work but losing your JB suckkkkkkkkks. If its a iPhone 4, doing a 5.x to 5.x restore is nice. see link and the last dev team blog explains it. I ran into error codes using the version of redsn0w they suggest to use, so try another version of redsn0w if you get an error code.
