How do I turn off mirrored iPhone notifications on my Mac?

My Mac is mirroring all of my iPhone's notifications as part of the "iPhone Mirroring" continuity feature. While I like the idea of the feature, the notifications have become a major disruption to my workflow.
The problem is that they are not truly actionable. If my iPhone's screen is on and I click a mirrored notification on my Mac, it doesn't open the app or content. Instead, it launches the iPhone Mirroring window only to display a message saying "iPhone in Use" and telling me to lock my phone to connect.
This defeats the entire purpose of a quick, convenient notification. How can I disable these mirrored notifications so my Mac only shows its own native alerts, without having to disable the iPhone Mirroring feature entirely?

You can control mirrored iPhone notifications in two ways: disable them all at once, or customize them on a per-app basis.
Option 1: Disable All Mirrored Notifications
This completely turns off all iPhone notifications on your Mac.
1. Go to Apple menu > System Settings... > Notifications.
2. Click the "Allow notifications from iPhone" menu item.
3. Toggle the "Allow notifications from iPhone" switch to OFF.
Option 2: Customize Notifications Per App
This allows you to select which apps can send mirrored notifications.
1. Go to Apple menu > System Settings... > Notifications.
2. Click the "Allow notifications from iPhone" menu item.
3. Ensure the main toggle for "Allow notifications from iPhone" is ON.
4. Under the "Mirror iPhone Notifications From" list, turn the toggle OFF for each individual app you want to silence.

Thanks for laying this out so clearly! I didn’t realize you could customize mirrored notifications app by app — I just had them all turned off because they were driving me crazy. I’ll probably leave only a few active now.

@Scratch Games The tips from iClarified on how to turn off all mirrored alerts or make changes for each app are useful. To stay productive without missing important updates, you could also change which messages you mirror. This way, you can still enjoy the ease of use without having to deal with constant delays. — creakfaithful • December 2, 2025 at 8:49am

Your explanation is quite clear, and I appreciate it. Because they were making me go insane, I had all of the mirrored notifications disabled, but I had no idea you could adjust them individually for each app. At this point, I will likely only keep a handful active. car games
