Apple's WWDC event has passed and the beta season is over. What is the official public release date for the final versions of iOS 26 and iPadOS 26? Also, which iPhone and iPad models are expected to be compatible?

I’ve been running the public beta on my iPhone, and it’s been super smooth so far. Really curious to see if there are any last-minute performance boosts in the final version on September 15.

Apple's WWDC conference is usually held in June each year, where the upcoming new versions of iOS and iPadOS are announced. Although the final versions of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 have been released, the official release date for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 is usually in September, usually synchronized with the release of the new generation iPhone.
