Wired Accessories setting locked: “managed by organization” — but no supervision, on iOS 26

Hi everyone,
I’m having a strange problem on my iPhone 14 Pro Max, which is updated to the official iOS 26 released on September 15, 2025. In Settings > Privacy & Security > Wired Accessories, the option “Allow Accessories to Connect” is locked to Always Allow, and the message says “This setting is managed by your organization and cannot be changed.”
What confuses me is that my iPhone does not show as supervised on the main Settings page, so it doesn’t appear to be under Mobile Device Management (MDM). Normally, supervised devices display a clear notice about being managed, but I don’t see that.
Here’s what I’ve checked so far:
Under Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, I only see a VPN (currently off).
There are no configuration profiles or device management entries installed.
I bought the phone myself; it was never issued by a school or employer.
Has anyone else seen this on iOS 26? Is this a bug, a hidden restriction, or possibly a leftover setting from setup? Any guidance or shared experience would be really helpful.

This looks like a bug in iOS 26. Other users are running into the same thing: www.reddit.com/r/ios/comments/1m8ocz0
You can try Reset All Settings or even a clean install to see if it clears. Apple Configurator is another way to check for hidden supervision flags.
Most likely, though, it’ll take a software update from Apple to fix.

That’s a weird one. Even without MDM showing up, iOS can sometimes lock settings if there’s a ghost profile lurking in the system. I’d suggest trying Reset All Settings first—it’s like moving your snake carefully to avoid running into yourself; you don’t want to wipe everything, just clear the hidden obstacles.

Although your device is not displayed as supervised, sometimes it may be mistakenly marked as organized management due to certain settings. Ensure that your device is not connected to any company's Wi Fi network or using any corporate Apple ID.
