How can I download apps on an iphone 3g without upgrading it?

I just got an iPhone 3g that's unlocked and jail broken for T-mobile. I tried downloading apps from the apple app store but when i press download it tells me I need iOS 4.3. I'm not to technologically inclined so I don't know what to do, could someone please help me either upgrade or find a way around this? I just want to download apps like Facebook and Instagram which are free therefore not included in Installous. Please and thank you.

it means that the app you try to download needs ios 4.3 or above so the app will run. there's two way for you:

1. (recomended) upgrade your os to the latest. then you will able to download any app on appstore
2. search for older app, wether you search on web or store..
