Can i jailbreak and unlock my iphone in anyway? Please help?

I keep finding mix results when i research my problem. I have a iphone 3gs running 6.0.1 (10a523) model- MC640LL Serial number- **143** firmware- 05.16.07 IS there any way to jailbreak and unlock this iphone, i knows it has the new bootrom, and is one of the newer models. The places i look at always states i cant because its a newer model and you cant upgrade the baseband to 6.15, but other few places say that its possible to. I need help, please and thank you in advance.
