Is it possible to upgrade firmware?

I have an iPhone 4s currently on 6.1 firmware. Im having some problems with it and wanted to restore firmware. Either 6.1 again or upgrade up to 6.1.2
I tried to update it in recovery mode and the apple servers wont let. I keep getting an error code. Seems like they want me to upgrade to 6.1.3 but i dont want to lose my jailbreak.
Is it possible to restore with 6.1 firmware again or upgrade to 6.1.2???

yes its possible, i have an iphone4 i install ios5.0.1 firmware 2 time and jail break my phone (and i was stressful) .... i switched from ios 6.0.1 to ios5. .. if you search in you tube "How to down grade IOS" or how to upgrade .... i hope you will find the solution... thanks
