A video interview with Jim Reekes, the creator of the Apple Startup Chime and the "sosumi" chime has been posted by OneMoreThing.nl
From 90 til I left in 99, I pretty much wrote all of the audio software that was coming out of Apple. I was responsible for the sound manager and making it make sound. Like the ability for it to make sound. And then I completed rewrote it. Got a couple patents for those designs. Became a member of the QuickTime team and just sorta owned audio.
