Apple has released the fourth episode of its immersive travel series "Elevated," taking Vision Pro users on an aerial tour of New York City. The new nine-minute installment is now available in the Apple TV app.
The latest episode glides above the city's towering skyscrapers and down its iconic streets. Viewers are taken past the neon lights of Times Square and out to the Statue of Liberty. The footage is paired with voiceovers from New Yorkers and a soundtrack of songs celebrating the city, providing a localized perspective of the metropolis.
"Elevated" is shot in Apple Immersive Video, a proprietary 180-degree 3D 8K format that utilizes Spatial Audio to capture a sense of depth and scale. This release follows a previous episode set in the Swiss Alps that debuted in late February. Apple has been steadily expanding its immersive catalog for the headset over the last several months, adding content like the canine competition docuseries Top Dogs and live NBA games.
