Apple Releases iOS 27 Beta 7 and iPadOS 27 Beta 7 to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the seventh developer betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, moving the next generation of iPhone and iPad software closer to its public release this fall.



The new test builds carry version number 24A5424a. This release arrives about a week after the company provided developers with the sixth round of betas. As the testing cycle enters its later stages, Apple typically shifts focus away from adding new features and instead prioritizes under-the-hood performance improvements, bug fixes, and system stability.


The iOS 27 update represents a major shift for the iPhone experience with the integration of Siri AI and Apple Intelligence. The digital assistant is gaining conversational capabilities, onscreen awareness, and access to personal context to interact with active content. Beyond artificial intelligence, the operating system introduces structural changes like an adjustable transparency slider for the Liquid Glass interface and a revised CPU scheduler designed to help apps launch faster while maintaining battery efficiency.

Registered developers can install the latest firmware over the air by navigating to the Software Update menu in the Settings app and ensuring the developer beta option is toggled on.
