Apple Seeds Seventh Betas of watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27 to Developers [Download]

Apple has seeded the seventh developer betas of watchOS 27, visionOS 27, tvOS 27, and HomePod Software 27, continuing to refine its wearable, spatial, and living room platforms ahead of a public release this fall.



The new test builds arrive alongside the seventh developer betas of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, dropping roughly a week after the sixth round of betas. Today's releases carry build numbers 24R5358a for watchOS, 24M5359a for visionOS, and 24J5358a for both tvOS and HomePod Software.


For the Apple Watch, the watchOS 27 update introduces a dynamic app grid, a unified Find My application, and new wrist-flick gestures for navigating widgets. It also establishes the framework for Apple's upcoming Siri AI experience, a shift that required the company to narrow hardware compatibility this year by dropping support for older models. On the headset side, visionOS 27 expands Apple Intelligence on Apple Vision Pro with Visual Intelligence capabilities and a 3D Siri visualization that can be placed anywhere in a room.

In the living room, tvOS 27 brings a redesigned Podcasts app to the Apple TV, along with a more responsive Control Center and improvements to AirPlay reliability. The companion HomePod software update focuses on underlying system stability to ensure Apple's smart speakers operate smoothly alongside the broader ecosystem changes.

Registered developers can download the new software directly through the Software Update section in the Settings app on their respective devices. Installing the watchOS update requires using the companion Watch app on a paired iPhone with sufficient battery life.
