Apple Previews 'Heart' Podcast Hosted by Karen Kilgariff Ahead of October 19 Premiere

Apple has released a trailer for Heart, an eight-episode true-crime podcast hosted by Karen Kilgariff. The Apple Original series premieres October 19 on Apple Podcasts and follows two families connected by a heart transplant.

Sonny Graham received a heart from Terry Cottle and later fell in love with Cottle's widow. Graham subsequently died in circumstances similar to Cottle's; both deaths were officially ruled suicides. Friends and relatives recall changes in Graham after the transplant, and the series follows the families as they look for answers. Apple says the podcast draws on three years of reporting, court filings, public records, and personal accounts.

Kilgariff, who co-hosts My Favorite Murder, leads the series, produced by Plan B and Blanchard House. Apple TV subscribers will be able to listen to all eight episodes on October 19. Everyone else can listen to the first three episodes that day, with one new episode released each week through November 23. The trailer is available on Apple Podcasts.
