Apple's First Immersive Horror Film 'Remnants' Arrives on Vision Pro October 16 [Video]

Apple's first immersive horror film, 'Remnants,' arrives on Vision Pro on October 16. Directed by Ti West, the 27-minute Apple Immersive Video production tells a ghost story set in Woldmere Castle.

Apple Immersive Video uses 180-degree 3D footage captured in 8K with Spatial Audio. It gives headset viewers a perspective that a standard online video cannot reproduce.

Earlier Apple Immersive releases include Submerged, the 2024 World War II submarine drama from Edward Berger. Bono: Stories of Surrender (Immersive) followed in 2025 as the format's first feature-length film; a Metallica concert is among its music releases.

Apple has shared a reaction video showing people experiencing the film in Vision Pro. The Apple TV listing rates it PG-13; the full film will be available only on the headset.
