Apple Shows HomePod mini 2 Colors and Audio Features in New Video [Video]

Apple has shared a 40-second look at HomePod mini 2, showing the compact speaker in its five colors and highlighting music playback, multiroom audio, and voice control for the smart home.

The speaker comes in Green, Pink, Blue, Midnight, and White. Apple also shows how it can work with others around the house. As detailed in our HomePod mini 2 announcement, multiroom playback requires additional HomePod or compatible AirPlay speakers.

Apple also features Siri AI in the clip, but the assistant is not available on HomePod mini 2 at launch. It is due in a later free software update. Enabling it requires the Home app's household owner to have an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad running current software, with Siri AI turned on in a supported language; personal-context requests also require a paired compatible device.

The speaker can be used to manage compatible smart home accessories by voice. Apple says availability of Siri AI features will vary by region and language.
