Apple Releases iOS 27.2 RC and iPadOS 27.2 RC to Developers [Download]

Apple has released the release candidates of iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 to developers for testing. Both updates carry build number 24B115.

The releases arrive six days after the fourth iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2 betas, seeded on October 13. A release candidate is typically the final testing build before a software update becomes available to all users.

Apple has also seeded release candidates of iOS 26.7.2 and iPadOS 26.7.2, both carrying build number 23H127.

iOS 27.2 expands Siri AI to French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. Other additions include Apple TV profiles on iPhone and iPad, anniversary alerts in Call Context, and an alternative expanded App Tracking Transparency prompt for users in the European Union.

Beta 4 introduced a black-and-white Apple Music icon, with a black logo on white in light mode and a white logo on black in dark mode. It also replaced red highlights with blue for the selected navigation bar icon and settings text, and changed Music widget backgrounds from red to black.

The redesigned Health app tested in earlier betas was removed in beta 4. Its new features are not part of iOS 27.2 and are planned for a later update.

Developers can download the software from the Apple Developer Center. The updates are also available over the air via Settings > General > Software Update with the appropriate developer beta selected under Beta Updates.
