I really like the idea of custom backplates made out of exotic materials, but 200 year old african wood? They might as well call it a "conflict phone".
i'd buy this phone only if they would cut off the heads and whoever thought of this idea and use their skulls for the backplates. why would somebody ruin a 200 year old wood and turn it into a novelty item that would only be good for a year (until the next iphone comes around)?
WOW! The phone itself costs a little over $180 in parts to make, this has been confirmed by Apple. So you're telling me that little peice of 200 year old wood makes it worth $3,000???? Are you fucking kidding me? Anyone wasting this kind of money should be shot, simple as that. The iPhone 4 is already expensive enough retail. Hell, even the contract price earns a substantial profit. This is just sick.....
