Developers who are ready with iAd support are receiving an impressive amount of revenue for their preparedness.
Jason Ting says he received $1,372.20 from 26,651 requests and 9,300 impressions at a fill rate of 34.90% and a clickthrough of 11.80%.
MacRumors believes this revenue was generated by Ting's LED Light for iPhone 4 Free app which was released yesterday as part of Apple's mass approval of flashlight applications.
The site suggest his fill rate may be low; however, in our experience 35% is about right. Most ad networks do not monetize much international traffic. The number is even likely to go down as more developers implement iAds and apps start seeing repeat customers who run into frequency caps.
The most impressive number here is actually the clickthrough of 11.80%. This is extremely high and is likely due to the novelty of the iAd platform. Hopefully, the visually impressive HTML ads will keep the number high even after it settles down.
