Wow, how did Cult of Mac get the exclusive on the alternative carrier rumor this week?

Damn. That means we can't rip off... Er... Profit off of T-mo customers w/ selling unlocked iPhones for 3x their value. Thanks Apple, lol.

WOW Going to another carrier that Sucks just as bad as AT$T? Yes it would cost Apple Millions to get an iphone to Verizon since they will need to remake a whole new iphone again. But i dont think apple see what a HUGE profit they would make since Verizon is Americas top cell phone provider, and using CDMA technology would also bring Sprint in the picture as well. Apple Dont make another Stupid move. What i think apple should do is Make one IPhone that has Both GSM+CDMA Technology built into one phone. I that way everyone can choose what provider they want.

no actually with tmobile it will be better cause tmobile has started rolling out their new 3g speeds in some areas and it just blow att 3g. thats what i read on wall street journal the other day. n that is why att isn't claiming to have fastest 3g in their new ads anymore.

Tmobile sucks worse then AT&T reason 3G is fast is because there's less people on the network. Plus CDMA technology is better and faster and some companies like sprint already run 4g. Plus no other cell carrier beats verizons coverage.

No offense meant, but... 4,480,123,416 GSM users worldwide against a few CDMA in the US makes no sense on investing for the rollover of any phone. Verizon / Sprint and a few carriers around the world will have to upgrade themselves to the common-path LTE before actually thinking on having the iPhone. Is not just about commercial alliances, but also due to technical decisions.

well, at least you don't get drop call. Let's wait and see

Wow u have so many flawed parts to your comment it's hilarious. 3G is not faster because there's few people on it, that makes no sense. Att 3G is faster than verizon EVDO because the technology is just faster. Tmobile is now using 3.5G speeds with HSPA+ and sprint uses WiMax which may be their 4th G but is not real 4G according to standard. Heck not even LTE is real 4G, its more like 3.9G. Real 4G is LTE Advanced which can reach 100Mb/s moving and 1Gb/s stationary. No one has those speeds yet. Sprint and verizon have to do a lot of changing. Tmobile will be the beat option to alleviate pressure on AT&T's network.

Yep... I've heard that one about 5 times before....

Wow a rumor of iPhone going to another carrier... That's rare. Bottom line is that the iPhone is currently not compatible with tmobile's 3G so it would be edge only and simply not worth it. No, I don't think this is happening now. Maybe next June.
Chris - July 21, 2010 at 5:16pm
Even if it is true, they will develop the iPhone 4 and change the 3G signal to work with T-Mobile.
vix - July 21, 2010 at 5:53pm
i don't think it's much development. it's just a freq. change.

I wonder how this will impact Tmobile's current unlimited data plans...
