Yankee Group has found that 73% of iPhone users are very satisfied with AT&T's service.
According to CNNMoney, AT&T's satisfaction rate is 68% overall and 69% for all smartphone users. So why are iPhone owners surprisingly satisfied with AT&T?
"Consumers transfer the high gloss of their Apple iPhone experience to AT&T," says Carl Howe, Yankee Group analyst and author of the study. "The iPhone creates a halo effect that rubs off."
AT&T also offered their own statement, "There's a gap between what people hear about us and what their experience is with us. We think that gap is beginning to close," says Mark Siegel, an AT&T spokesman. "It doesn't mean we're perfect; we still have work to do. But that's no surprise to us, because we have a great network."
Wow! In any other country - or any other company - a 73% approval rating would be considered absolutely catastrophic! Look at BMW and their "99% satisfied customers"! And I think Toyota has a similar slogan. They would never settle for 73%, let only 69%! That's terrible!
Not surprised, given that 98% (give or take a lot) of iPhone users are satisfied with a closed, crippled device which is basically geared toward selling them digital media. A very small (and shrinking, I'd guess) percent jailbreak.
And I am one of those 2% that jailbreak because I CANNOT have an iPhone without it being jailbroken. The iPhone is a piece of shit unless you jailbreak it. Thats why I'm not getting the iPhone 4 until its jailbroken because 1 day of no theme and default sms app will kill me.
Where do you live, if you don't mind me asking. Because it can all depend on where you live. I live In the DMV (D.C. Maryland & Virginia) which is considered a major city so our reception will be better, it also depends on what kind of phone you have.
I'm living in Houston, is a major city, no signal in my office, have to use those device called microcell, not really happy with AT&T, but I love my iPhone, own every iPhone since 3G, will get iPhone 5 or whatever next time:) android phone? No,took me 20 min to figure out how to use it, only took 5 min for my 2 years old kid to use my iphone
I have been with AT&T for 3 years now and they are the best service in the DMV area by far. I haven't really ever had a problem with them except no service on the train but they are actually working on it. And they are still the only service that gets a signal in my basement lol.
