Do NOT use with VMWare Fusion. I spend yesterday 'unbricking' my ipad because I tried to use this with VMWare. Got the iPad free again, used Bootcamp and seems to be working flawlessly.

I get through the jailbreak process, i see the green raindrop but in the end i see no white app icon not even after rebooting the device. I tried many times

For those that can't get it to work, make sure you have latest iTune running in the background when you doing the JB. The iTune will keep asking you to restore the iPad just close the window when it pop up. I tried twice without the iTune running and does not work. The third time I let iTune running in the background and it did the trick. Good luck.

Finally...YES..It's worked now....Downloaded the latest version of Limera1n and it worked. Thanks GeoHot.

i fianlly got it working on my ipad 3.2.2. I used VPN to finally got Cydia installed. Thanks Geohot i am having fun with my new jailbreaked ipad now

What's VPN? I was told this jailbreak doesnt work for 3.2.2 ... Help!

Me too, it gets all the way through the process and I see no raindrop. Even after reboot and tried again I got nothing. Hopefully someone can help us out.

Someone said Limera1n is not compatible to wfi version of Ipad 3.22. Maybe we need to wait for greenpois0n

It does not work with Ipad 3.2.2 (7B500) Since limera1n said that it have performed its exploit, there are no image of a lime raindrop on the iPad and no icon on the SpringBoard.

is that a confirm that it doesnt work on that band? Id tried everything from Beta 2 to 4. No luck :(

this version is not working. i already tried many times. after the jailbreaking process is done , always the itunes with cable screen comes up.

I got limera1n running in my iPad. The only downside is I can't download cydia. Cydia is blocked by Chinese government just like Facebook,Twitter and YouTube. Can someone post a tutorial for iPad proxy setting? Most of the users need to bypass the block by using proxy severs Thanks!

Which firmware do you have install in your iPad?

I tried to install this at 2010-10-10 13:30 and everything is working fine, after JB, I can also installed the 'Cydia' from Limera1n as well. Cool.... i am from Hong Kong

I normally use my MacBook to sync my iPad. Will it matter if I use my windows pc to do the jailbreak, but them use my mac to re-sync everything?

Is petwear wrote at the iphone4 tutorial: many are having trouble with program doesn't upload the exploit but just restart the device instead. to solve this, you need discard the on screen pop up and count 10 sec then release the power button when limera1n prompt DFU mode. I think the timing of pup up instruction from limera1n is not correct. it fixed my problem. May also apply to the iPad

Hey i just tried this and it does not show me a LimeRa1n logo at all. It just goes through the process of jailbreaking and says that it is done jailbreaking and all i have is a restore scree. Help?

Yep. I cant get the Lime Teardrop to come up on the screen I have restored my iPad 4 times :/ Gets into DFU mode, then says "JB is installed (still not lime screen), then after it just sit at the Connect to iTunes logo (I let it sit for 5 mins). Doesnt do anything after that. Im on 3.2.2.

Same here, I think limera1n is not compatible with all ipads.

If you get stuck at the connect to iTunes screen you don't have to restore. Just use tiny umbrella and kick your iPad out of recovery mode.
