Just changed the router and the iPad worked like charm. So it's absolutely a router-related issue.

4.2 is being held up because some knobhead has a dodgy router, my 12 year old son can tell it's a router problem. Myself and my friend have been trying the 4.2 gm for the past week and the wifi is spot on!

Looks to me more like a router issue. I have had 4.2 GM ever since it was released on both iPhone 4 and iPad and no problems whatsoever.

Whats up Apple and Wifi? Would imagine they can afford to invest in couple of wifi-gurus... I remember constant on-off problems with Wifi on both macs and iOS devices. Please Apple, would it be about the time to hack that Wifi? Im sure its not rocket science, since PC guys been happy with it for decade.
