Amazing! I was stuck in recovery mode, couldnt restore to any firmware with WinPwn. BUT used this and was on to 2.0.1 straight away. Use the tutorial and follow the instructions step by step carefully - they work! Thanks to all who made QuickPwn!!!!

Two things... I mistakenly put my iPhone2g in DFU mode.. That is NOT what quickpwn wants here. You have to follow the power instructions exactly.. It took me 3 times to realize this.. Following the timer worked flawlessly. I never got quickpwn to use my custom logo.png. It's still the pineapple. I replaced, removed and generally got rid of the original and it still loaded the pineapple. It's hardcoded someplace.

When you put your USB connector into the iPhone...itunes will start up....this guide wants you to close itunes when it starts up. So that means you should have itunes closed before you run QuikPwn.

new to the site and jailbreaking, what do you mean by "and then close any iTunes processes that start" Should itunes be open or closed after you phone is detected?
