Pod2g has announced that iPad 3,3 support has been added to the Absinthe jailbreak utility, leaving only the iPad 2,4 jailbreak to be implemented.

OK just added iPad3,3 support to Absinthe thanks to @flawlessfox. Only remains iPad2,4 now but we need the actual device.

Any people of #HITB2012AMS has an iPad2,4? Model number: either MC954 or MC989. Please check in Settings / General / About.

Support for the following devices has been completed:
- iPhone 3Gs, iPhone 4, iPhone 4 CDMA, iPhone 4S, iPad 1, iPad 2 Wifi, iPad 2 GSM, iPad 2 CDMA, iPad 3 Wifi, iPad 3 CDMA, iPad 3 Global, iPod 3G, iPod 4G, AppleTV 2.

If anyone at the HITBSecConf has the new iPad2,4 device please contact @pod2g.

iPad 2,4 not a big issue. If pod2g is in the US, which im pretty sure he is, he can easily go to an Apple Store buy an iPad 2,4 for testing and jailbreaking purposes. After hes done just restore it to original factory setting and return it.

5.2 and then 6.0 in a few more months. I stopped jailbreaking a long time ago because the lag was getting ridiculous. I think it's probably because as the security holes which allow jailbreaks are closed there are fewer and fewer left, and those that remain are harder and harder to find. On top of that the best jailbreak hacker was bought ( probably more like threatened by lawsuits) by Apple. Frankly, I don't see much future in jailbreaking.

No need to be an ass about a question, thats what this blog is for, if you simply dont want to answer just leave it alone. A5 is the chip used on the iphone 4s and ipad 2. A4 is the older generation chip. iPad 3,3 is the newest iPad 2012. iPad 2,4 is the newer generation of the iPad 2 that apple recently released.

Why can't they just release it for the devices on which it does work and add that last iPad later instead of making everyone wait?
