T-Mobile has confirmed the deployment of an iPhone compatible '4G' network inside Moscone West, reports 9to5Mac. The company issued the following statement after reports that customers walking by the Moscone Center were getting 3G connections on their iPhones.
While upgrading coverage inside the West side of the Moscone Center, T-Mobile has also deployed 4G HSPA+ service in the 1900 MHz band to test the live network on a small scale. As part of the company's previously announced $4 billion network modernization effort, T-Mobile plans to launch 4G HSPA+ service in the 1900 MHz band in a large number of markets by the end of the year, which will make our 4G network compatible with a broader range of devices, including the iPhone.
NOTE: The time and location of this test is just coincidental.
In May T-Mobile announced that a network modernization effort would launch 4G HSPA+ service in the 1900 MHz band (iPhone compatible) this year and the deployment of long term evolution (LTE) service in 2013.

Arlington, VA and DC have good 3G coverage. Miami decent depending on where you are. Fort Lauderdale very spotty but at least it's started.
Carrier unlocked and factory unlocked 3G and 4s respectively.

iPhones from AT&T who had finished their 2-year contract with AT&T can have their iPhones unlocked by just calling AT&T customer service then they can use it with T-Mobile 4G HSPA+ network.

The 4S only supports the HSPA+ 4G (should be called 3G+ because its not really 4G) network. The oringinal iPhone doesn't. This article explains it. http://m.cnet.com/news/has-ios-51-turned-the-iphone-4s-into-a-4g-device-overnight/57393828?ds=1

If u go search online even d 4s can't use 4g or even 3G on tmobile carrier. It's not bout the G it's about the frequencies. Tmobile 3G/4G network has different frequencies from that of AT

Probably Will never happen. 2 reasons why in my opinion. Subsidies are to much. T-Mobile probably wouldnt want to pay to carry it even if it was offered to them. Thats a big gamble. Look at what Sprint paid out just to get the iPhone. Or Apple won't let them carry it because their service is horrible.

Tmobile support d iPhone is 1 thing, where u get d iPhone is another thing. If u get a factory unlock straight from apple at retail price. It comes automatically unlocked. U don't need to try n unlock it on ur own. Jailbreaking or not is another story, it's up to u. For contracted iPhones obtained from AT
