iPhone 4S Emits 3X More Radiation Than Galaxy S III

Posted July 18, 2012 at 6:11pm by
According to the company behind the app Tawkon, the iPhone 4S emits 3X more radiation than the Samsung Galaxy S III. The iPhone 4S was second on the list with a SAR level of 1.11 w/kg, which is near the maximum level of 1.6 w/kg allowed by the FCC. The Samsung Galaxy S III was at the bottom of the list of devices, registering in at .34 w/kg.

Radiation levels has always been a hot topic in the industry. There are conflicting reports when it comes to cell phones and their emitted radiation on human tissue, and as it stands today, no one really knows the true effects of cellphones on humans. Whether or not radiation emitted by our cellphones is damaging, it is always a good idea to take precaution when limiting you daily usage.

Studies conducted by numerous scientific teams in several nations have raised troubling questions about possible associations between heavy cell phone use and serious health dangers. That's why I decided to do something that reduce iPhone radiation levels for protect to my family. In the end though, I found a couple of reviews of Pong Research's cases, that convinced me to give it a try. This case is built with an antenna in between layers of the back cover, which reduces exposure to radiation while optimizing the mobile reception.

Geez people, all these comments, and not ONE of them is about the report! If you only want to bash Apple users, WHY do it on an Apple site? Some of us come here to learn about the devices we've chosen for information that will help us. Telling us we're all sheep because we don't follow YOU, is rather pointless to the topic!

The app only runs in Android, there isn't in iOS, so how did they measure it??? It only runs in androids. I prefer FCC measurements!!!!

Tawkon was initially submitted to the Apple store but Steve Jobs directly rejected it, so they released it on Android. so there is an app only it wasn't released.

Doesn't the low radiation level of the Samsung Galaxy SIII also translate to poor reception?
