Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 8 preorders for consumers starting today. Customers can preorder Windows 8 Pro upgrade for $69.99 at select retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, Office Depot, and Microsoft Retail Stores.
If consumers wish to upgrade digitally, that can start doing so Oct. 26 through the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant at www.windows.com. The upgrade only price is $39.99, and the promotion will run until January 31st, 2013.
So Microsoft wants people to pay money to become a beta tester? Pass! I have yet to see a single product from Microsoft that is bug free. I don't belive windows 8 will be the exception. Remember windows millennium and vista.
Funny, I have had Windows 8 Enterprise for two months now. This shit is still "coming out"??! Weird, we have sold Professional and Enterprise a few times.
The reports online (Win7Vista) are that even among the beta testers, the majority have NO plans to upgrade, preferring to stick with Windows 7. I hate to suggest it, but with no real reason to upgrade since it's mostly based on 'tablets', this may become MS's next Vista!
Windows Server 2012, Server 2008, 2003, SBS 2011, SBS 2008, SQL 2012, SQL 2008, Microsoft 365, office 2011, Office 2010..: you would be surprised as this website and it's data are most likely being stored on Microsoft product.
