iOS 7 Concept Features Pull Down Icon Menus, Status Bar Toggles/Shortcuts [Video]

Posted April 13, 2013 at 5:34pm by iClarified
A new iOS 7 concept video posted by iamthe6ixth features a few interesting elements including pull down icon menus and status bar toggles/shortcuts.

New iOS 7 Apple iPhone Concept video TV Spot focusing less on new features and more on exploring and infusing animation, emotion, and personality into the new OS and iPhone 5S.

This iPhone 5S iOS 7 video does include new features but is not a wishlist nor intended to address iPhone 5S or iOS7 rumors. It is not a comparison or comment on Android features and has not been informed by other devices. It does not address a flat UI design approach or any other speculations. It is simply intended as an experiment in motion and interaction design.

Take a look at the video below or check out some other really cool iOS 7 Concept Videos.

the flyout floder icons and blackhole, while cute, seems like it would slow you down. Yes, UI elements should be visually appealing, but shouldn't get in the way of what you're trying to do.

My suggestion for the next iOS is to have extended sound enhancement options for music and video, either by adding custom equalizer and virtual surround sound effect in addition to the 20 eq presets Apple provides or allow app developers to create EQ apps that can be used with the standard music and video players on the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch similar to what Android 2.3 provided, I think that the 20 preset eq sound enhancer is too old now and we want the iPhone to be on a par with Samsung's devices when it comes to listening to music or watching movies.

If apple won't do it, a jb tweak is sure to come out of this.

Nice vid shame its only a concept, I guarantee io7 is going to be shite it will probably have a couple of crap features that have been missing for years anyway and the apple fans will be wowed, apple is drip feeding again but it's losing fans cos of there ability to innovate !!

Concept videos make me angry because I know Apple will never implement anything as useful in iOS. It's been 6 years and there are still too many simple features missing.

I agree with iName. These features are too useful to users for Apple to implement them. :(

Wow! I must say that out of all the iOS 7 concepts I have seen so far, this is my favorite! The concepts in this video seems very creative and simple. It still gives off an "Apple" feel. If Apple truly incorporated these concepts in their next iOS, then I will be truly happy. However, it is most likely that these concepts won't be included in the next iOS since most of its structure has been already planned out. All our hope resides on Jonathan Ive and I hope he doesn't disappoint.

If this is the new iOS, it would be my reason to stick with apple than moving on to android.

Darryn, they would not implement a close all ios applications because apple already implemented auto closes appliccations in the background if ram is needed and they just suspend in the background anyways. it would make sense for older devices that only have little ram. Great concept. i loved the folder swirl. This just brought a bunch of new ios 6 jailbreak ideas haha

The way Apple design iOS. More than likely they would only make the close all open apps option.

This is by far the best concept of iOS 7 to date. Very impressive. Watch out Android.

Now this is what a concept video should be. These are some amazing ideas and I can easily see them being incorporated in the iOS. Actually I'd love to them in iOS 7. Hoping for a kick ass upgrade/overhaul in the next version.
