Samsung Galaxy S 4 With Gorilla Glass 3 Display: Scratch Test [Video]

Check out this video that shows the Samsung Galaxy S 4, the first smartphone to feature a Gorilla Glass 3 display, being scratch tested with knives, keys, and coins.

According to Corning, with its new Native Damage Resistance, Gorilla Glass 3 has been developed to provide improved durability to withstand deep scratches and cracks in the glass. As a result, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance provides enhanced scratch resistance, reduced scratch visibility, and better retained strength once a scratch occurs.

It's likely that Apple will also feature a Gorilla Glass 3 display in the next generation iPhone. If you want to check out a scratch test with the current iPhone 5 you can find that here.

It doesnt seem genuine when the guy takes his phone out of the picture for a few seconds each time he does something to it. Kinda like he would replace it with a new phone.

You could perform that same test on a bar of chocolate and there wouldn't be a mark. This is the most unbelievably pointless test, he hasn't put any pressure on the screen at all. How about he drops it off the table a couple of times. What about those Nokia test videos where they hammer nails into a piece of wood with the screen and get no scratches?

u want to do the real test, put a pich of sand on it and rub on the glass...and see the result...and more over the way this guy is doing the tests with soft hands...he can use this phone life long without scratching it...

If this a kind of test then I can make it for sure if will do the same test with any non gorilla glass cellphone, it won't get affected. Lol.....this isn't the test, it's what you were playing with the device. Samsuck...bcz their phones always hangs. And it's not Samsung problem, it's what's their OS and that's great android. Hahahahaha....

These tests are stupid. Try dropping the big knife point down onto the screen from 1 foot above! I bet you'll see it crack.

Maybe because this type of Gorilla Glass is going to be on the next iphone???
