A new report from the Chinese United Daily News site claims that Apple is working with Quanta on a larger iPad, according to MacRumors.
Quanta Computer is an Apple supplier responsible for Apple’s current MacBook Airs and an unusual choice for tablet production as those devices are currently produced by suppliers like Foxconn and Pegatron. The report claims, however, that Quanta is aiming to diversify.
Notably, in July the WSJ reported that Apple was asking to see prototypes of an iPad measuring slightly less than 13-inches diagonally.
Check out the mockups of a larger iPad below. What do you think? Would you be interested in purchasing a larger version of Apple's tablet?

I wouldn't buy one (because I have iPads at home already) but if I was looking for a tablet, I wouldn't really consider a Samsung. I think the screen size is what matters and an acer tablet or tab 2.0 is too small (I LIKE BIG!!!)

Exactly, like the phablet 3 for example just like it's too big for a phone!

Because why bigger and less gaming experience, these "greedy" people already made it big, it's like making it look like surfaces shit!

why hasn't apple released a windows surface type device? a combination of IOS and OSX?
I would buy that easily!!!!
i think their fear of making such a device is that they will not sell as much macbooks and ipads...shooting themselves in the foot.

Just buy a Mac mini to set it up with iPad, costs less than buying the entire mac(book).

I think Apple is planning to merge iPad with MacBook Air (a hybrid) with detachable keyboard. Microsoft has been trying it for years (even before the iPad) with no market success but if Apple can figure out a way to make it better then it would be great. Specially for us developers (or probably just me) who wants portability of an iPad but needs the functionality of a MacBook ;)

Mac mini does it with iPad already so...

Mac mini doesn't have a battery like MacBooks (or I might be wrong) so it isn't as portable.

Well but if apple used microsofts idea, it would be copying, besides brookstone already has keyboard to connect with iPad blue tooth!

Well, that's what I meant by "if apple can make it better" like it does with the iPad (evolved from the old tablets) it won't really be copying. Anyway, just a wild idea. ;)

I saw many concepts showing how slightly smaller it is, why make it big assed like the way Samsung does it?

It's already big enough. I'd rather see it with a 16:9 screen like the iphone and most other tablets, phones, laptops and TVs.

Apple still thinking we are in the 90's, they have build 4 generations of iPads already and the haven't change that ugly 4:3 screen. Come on, just make a 16:9 aspect ratio iPad, see how gorgeous the Surface looks compared to the iPad, that's one of the reason I have a Surface and only use the iPad when my Surface battery dies, but I'll buy a Surface 2 so no more iPad finally.

I agree, why make it too big and too long because the smaller iPad gets, the easier gaming is with 2 hands for example, zi know what the guy above I replied to is trying to tell us but who really wants something that big, it's like using the phablet idea for this, making it big, and FYI iPad stays the same before improving and I own a 4 and never switching to any other tab or newer iPad! 4:3 is perfect!

so true and the way I hear is that the iPhone 6 is going to be as big as the Samsung S4 I really hope not and if true then I hope that Apple will give us choices like small or big because for a PHONE the iPhone 5 is a perfect size people want bigger get an iPad please apple don't copy Samsung.

iPhone 6 wouldn't really jump to big assed sizes, iPhone 5 introduced taller screen, so as a rumor, I just bet it will be a tad more diagonally tall by .2-.4"
