iOS 7.1 Beta 3 Brings the Ability to Delete Installation Files Downloaded Over-the-Air

Developers who downloaded iOS 7.1 Beta 3 via Software Update have found that it is now possible to delete those installation files, reports the German site Macerkopf.de.

The release of iOS 7 irked users who didn't want to update to the new operating system but were stuck with a large installation file on their device that took up valuable space and was not removable.

Apple CEO Tim Cook was sued in small claims court by Mark David Menacher, a California customer who said "Apple's disregard for customer preferences in relation to iOS7 is corporate thuggery."

Now navigating to Settings:General:Usage will let you delete the installation files similar to how you would delete other content on your device.

While it appears that the company has addressed the issue in the latest beta, we have yet to confirm it will be available in the public release of iOS 7.1.

Check out the other big changes in iOS 7.1 beta 3 which including new phone call screens and a new power off slider. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for more updates.

I don't think anyone has noticed on ios7 with an iPhone5 that when you text... while it's sending if you try to switch from landscape to portrait or viceversa it's really laggy. BUT I discovered something to speed it up a bit.. when you increase contrast, that laggy switch goes away. Also I don't see the point of "Set and Scale" of the iOS when all you can do is go from normal size to big size only. There is a lack of flexibility with that and I think they should fix it. When setting up photos for contacts, instead of just putting the picture as it is, they automatically zoom the hell out of it making the contact picture way too zoomed in. It's ugly.
