First Look at the Samsung Galaxy S5 [Video]

Samsung has posted a video that offers the first look at its new Galaxy S5 smartphone.

Join us behind the scenes with host Frankie Vu as we get up close and personal with the Samsung GALAXY S5 and Gear Fit. The new S5 is equipped with a faster, more robust camera, improved durability, a 5.1-inch Full HD Super AMOLED screen, finger scanner, and heart rate monitor, to allow greater integration with your day-to-day life.

Notably, the video mentions the new fingerprint scanner; however, it's not demonstrated.

A choice of hardware and operating system UI style. Not just OEM launchers, also 3rd party versions. Security has got a bit tighter and more closed with Knox version 2 though. Although this seems to be more aimed at Corporate networks. I heard they locked the bootloader this time round. Not sure how true that is.

the only innovation is almost 50% of the S5′s storage capacity is taken up by Samsung’s pre-installed apps. Really guys theres no innovation, at least apple took the finger print scanner from microstuff and made it better, samsung just coppied.

Exactly, remember the way laptops worked, apples though is improved but works in a new way, even on a button. Who thought of that before?

Ooooh look at all that "innovation"!!! They really reinvented the smartphone there! Bravo Samesung, that fingerprint scanner is sure to revolutionize the market, especially since no one else is doing one... Bravo!

After competing with apple, they failed to make a gold edition yet it looks so bronze, plus what the hell is up with the back part, dots? Really? This is what they were focusing on when it just comes to design of the phone and not features? I see.

Do your research, if you know about phone you would know Samsung was the first to take out a REA gold phone long time before iPhone even existed...the new color is not gold is BRONZE you should learn how to distinguish colors.

Just like you said this all seems super rushed to me. It's as if they are trying to beat apple to the chase with all of the wearable gadgets and tech that as a emphasis on health.
