Mercedes-Benz has offered a demonstration of how Apple CarPlay works in its new C-Class.

CarPlay gives iPhone users an intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music and access messages with just a word or a touch. Users can easily control CarPlay from the car’s native interface or just push-and-hold the voice control button on the steering wheel to activate Siri without distraction.

You can check out a photo gallery of CarPlay in the vehicle here and learn more about CarPlay here.

Because apple is taking lead in everywhere and now it's Siri in the car's turn to try.

Him: "I will not be home until eight." Siri: "I will not be home until late"

I thought that the whole point for this was to keep the driver's eyes on the road but he is constantly looking at the screen. How is this different from just placing your phone on the dash via a dashboard mount? Towards the end of the video he's trying to play a song by the time he finds it he'd have cause a 20 car pileup lol.

Siri is faster, the whole thing is using the antenna to connect just like radios do. That's the difference.

Really maps lacks all the time I try in different countries. Better to use app like sygic or google maps. But google map is best.

No matter where I am I always get accurate results with maps.

What? Google Maps is slow when I use directions, sure it has street view but flyover makes me feel like I'm wherever I look on apple maps. They rock as always now.
