Apple is reportedly in the final talks to acquire Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion, reports The Financial Times

According to the report, Apple is in the final-stages of talks with Beats to acquire the streaming Beats Music service, as well as the headphone/speaker division of the company. The Beats headphones have seen huge mainstream success with the collaboration with Dr. Dre and the streaming service has seen recent success.

Apple will acquire Beats' streaming music service, which launched this year, and its audio equipment business, which includes its brand of headphones and audio equipment. The Beats management team will report to Mr Cook, said people familiar with the deal.

If this deal were to go through, it would make it Apple's largest acquisition yet (Apple's largest acquisition to date was NeXT computer for $404 Million back in 1997, which brought Steve Jobs back to the company). People familiar with the matter said the deal could be announced as early as next week, however some final pieces must be put together before the deal is complete.

Apple has been rumored to be working on a complete overhaul of iTunes in order to compete with on-demand music services like Spotify. If this deal were to go through, Apple could incorporate Beats Electronics' music streaming service rather than build its own from the ground up.

Bloomberg News and The New York Times are both corroborating this report as well.

wow. Really ? How does this happen ? Appple buying something ? Unbelievable. They normally either steal or take patent and then fight for it. I just don't believe this. It should be rumor. As we all know the music was discovered by appple for the first time so the speakers which play the music also belongs to Appple so headsets. So obviously appple deserve the patent and fight.

Oh no, very small amount used to buy something, how much of a deal does it make anyway? You're not putting your malware infected brain to use. I mean what is so bad about buying this, it's like saying it's bad to buy groceries. You usually either gimmick or compare by not looking at shit before concluding and are the only defensive shit this desperate to believe it, I mean who gives a shit. How about a rumor for trolls to crawl back to where they understand this logic to go back the black vagina they crawled out of. FYI what's this "we" business no one else is this clueless to understand and since when did apples speakers sound like beats? It's like saying beats in ear buds are like EarPods. What kind of comparing was this? This is a clear example of you and your strategies and we have to educate you delusional as hell samsheeps for you because you'd rather spend more time trying to win the biggest rant than learn shit. Yeah lets see you try that idea in school, you'll so go down in history.
