I wish they used that special matt hybrid plastic rubber material you find on some new TV remotes these days, that would have given it a fingerprint free smooth grip.

I think it's the same case. You can see on iphone 3GS that painted marks are not on surface and on matte case they are on surface. I think they put layer of some kind of varnish on it.

I whole-heartedly agree. I believe it's a before-and-after shot of a case. Left is a case before the appliance of the glossy (oil-reflecting?) surface (it's also missing the chrome circle around the camera lens). Right is the finished case.

Given the Choice, I'd go Matt Black!.. But "SHE" don't let me make Chooze's..
