Apple has hired Anand Lal Shimpi, the founder of AnandTech, a popular tech site known for its in depth hardware reviews.

An Apple rep confirmed the hiring to Re/code but wouldn’t provide any other details.

Last night, Anand posted news of his retirement from tech writing:

But after 17.5 years of digging, testing, analyzing and writing about the most interesting stuff in tech, it’s time for a change. This will be the last thing I write on AnandTech as I am officially retiring from the tech publishing world. Ryan Smith (@RyanSmithAT) is taking over as Editor in Chief of AnandTech.

He also added "As for me, I won’t stay idle forever. There are a bunch of challenges out there :)"

Hopefully, we'll find out what his role is at Apple soon and we wish him the best!

Understood your frustration. You label yourself an an iDevicePro and wasting your life in Internet forums and sites and barking about iCrapple. Your pathetic life has no meaning as you wanted to join with Crapple but you were unable to. Can't help buddy. Grow up and work hard

I feel your jealousy. You labeled yourself iFedUp because you're too hurt to get what we always have drueling mind raping gimmicks that you can't prove and barfing about assamsung. Your soulless life has no evidence for such worthless existance that you put up with after teaming up with assamsung just to spread the painful jokes no one gives a fuck. Can't face truth, crawl back where you're better off related or die hard trying.

Maybe he will give his thoughts on the ideas they come up with.
