Beats has announced a new limited-edition version of its Pill speaker, created in collaboration with fashion designer Kiko Kostadinov. The new speaker is set to go on sale August 15th at 10 am BST, continuing the brand's push into fashion-forward collaborations.
The Kiko Kostadinov edition features a custom grill with ornate geometry, which the designer says was inspired by ancient Thracian iconography. The speaker is finished in a "Kiko gray" neutral tone and includes a braided lanyard that echoes ceremonial threads found in Bulgarian folk tradition.
Underneath the custom design, the speaker shares its hardware with the Beats Pill that was updated earlier this year. It features a bespoke racetrack woofer for deeper bass, an updated tweeter, and offers up to 24 hours of battery life. A 10-minute Fast Fuel charge provides up to two hours of playback.
The speaker includes dual compatibility for both iOS and Android devices, offering one-touch pairing and support for Apple's Find My network. It charges via USB-C, a connection that also supports high-resolution lossless audio. The device is also IP67-rated for dust and water resistance and offers Amplify and Stereo modes when paired with a second Beats Pill.
This limited-edition Beats Pill will be sold exclusively on kikokostadinov.com and at Kiko Kostadinov's flagship stores in Los Angeles and Tokyo.
