The pathetic part is that apple is spending a lot of money developing ways to stop the jailbreaking of the iPhone and jailbreaking doesn't even effect them fully except when people crack apps and don't pay for them. If a ton of people in the world won't buy an iPhone or won't buy a new iPhone if it can't be jailbroken, that will only hurt them. If you didn't take away choice in the first place you wouldn't have to spend so much time trying to take it away from people, wake up apple!!!!

Sigh
It looks like we are in the very edge.
Apple has developed a stronger broom and it seems like we might be at the very edge of our table. I hope this isnt the end.
They really are against this. Damn

As long as we prep for the jailbreak, via Purplera1n, we should be fine. Their firmware will never be completely bullet-proof.. nothings perfect

They could, but unless they have the program and know how the Dev-Team is jailbreaking the iPhone 3GS it's a guessing game for them.

I would like to know..is there really LEGALLY UNLOCKED IPhone ( for any version)? If so, is that means, I can use any SIM and will no longer be needing for JAILBREAKING/UNLOCKING?

There are factory unlocked version. I have 3G 8GB Black factory unlocked, and I upgrade to the 3.0 without locking the phone but then I had to do the JailBreak because I wanted the applications MCleaner, Backgrounder, Notifier, Cycorder... and tons of others customatization that Apple would not allow....
But if you do not need these applications, then you do not have to jailbreak it.

F++k Robbers and Fido!
Both are done once Telus, Bell and 2 other GSM comp are in play.
MMS? who fives a sh=t?
use your email! mms is for 13 year old girls!
At least ATT was honest enough to give first gen 3g owners a new device at a normal price. Here is Snow fucki=g land - we get to buy - at full price - a 3gs locked(!!!) from the 2 robbers...

If you pay over $100 a month on your bill you get $500 off the non-contract price if you are upgrading your phone.. I got my 16GB iPhone 3GS for only $199, so I have no idea what you are talking about.. and I find having MMS a lot more handy than emailing my pictures and videos. And, IMO, Bell has the SHITTIEST reception, and Telus just sucks in general,
