HSBC and First Direct Now Support Apple Pay in the U.K.

Apple has announced that HSBC and First Direct now support Apple Pay in the United Kingdom.

The mobile payments service launched on July 14th in the U.K., allowing iPhone and Apple Watch users to pay for goods at over 250,000 shops.

Current institutions that support Apple Pay include:
● American Express
● first direct
● HSBC
● mbna
● Nationwide
● Natwest
● Royal Bank of Scotland
● Santander
● Ulster Bank


Apple Pay is listed as coming soon to:
● Bank of Scotland
● Halifax
● Lloyds Bank
● M&S Bank
● TSB
