What a crock of shit. The FBI knows it is about to lose this battle and so they are making an excuse to backpedal. There were alternatives all along. Many companies and individuals have publicly offered to attempt to crack it already. There is a not so secret hardware box that virtually every security expert in the word who specializes in this type of tech knows about that is specifically designed to do exactly what the FBI has been asking Apple to do. Why didn't they just use that you say? Because they aren't after what's inside the phone. They are after a precedent. If Apple wins this (and they would), that is also a precedent and that's the last thing the FBI pigs want. So they will back peddle, wait for the waves to settle and people to forget and when an opportunity presents itself to attack a more vulnerable company on the same issue, that's exactly what they'll do. Absolute pigs!

I believe the method they are talking about is the method that has been blowing up on YouTube by the user SoFloAntonio, he created a workaround through Siri to bypass the home screen. I haven't been able to test it myself because I have an iOS 6 device but I have heard it works. Most likely, this Is what they are using,As it is a simple glitch, but also effective.

That video is BS. If you watch right at the start he unlocks the iPhone with his fingerprint. All the other rubbish about the clock and stuff is just a to make everyone think it's real.
