How to Force Restart Your iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus [Video]

These are instructions on how to force restart your iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus. You may need to do this if your iPhone has frozen or is functioning abnormally.

Please note that earlier generations use a different method. You can find instructions on how to force reboot the iPhone 6s and earlier devices here.




Step One
To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Volume Down buttons for at least ten seconds.

Release the buttons when you see the Apple logo appear.

Your device will now reboot.

I cannot get it to reset it stays on a apple screen

Thank god you posted this! I was trying to reset it the old version way and was getting frustrated! Now I know how to do it with my new fancy IPhone 7 plus! :)))

I'll be guessing it's the same process as holding the home button huh. Well it will be the same to put it on dfu and recovery mode for jailbreaking

I bet you are trying to say how obvious the holding down the button parts were because they are trying to just say the steps.
