Lights out TomTom and Navigon, at least they will need to drop their pricing.

I don't think so, I think this apps usefulness as a gps replacement will be limited by the fact it seems to require a Internet connection to pull in maps/points of interest. Even if you always have a data signal it's still going to be slower than apps that use stored map/poi data. If google allows to load a map base/ major poi on your phone that uses x GB of space then this could be great. And real competition. Satalite and traffic and their advanced search? Yeah use Internet for that.
