Leaked Photo of Samsung Galaxy S8 Reveals Smaller Bezels, No Physical Home Button?

Posted January 20, 2017 at 2:30am by iClarified
A photo, allegedly of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone, has leaked online. The photo was obtained by GizChina and it appears to reveal that Samsung's new flagship will have a curved edge display, smaller bezels, and no physical home button.

This photo was sent to me earlier today by a company that is making accessories for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and appears to show a leaked model of the upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone. We can see from the photo that this gold phone is clearly marked with Samsung branding, and in fact the area where the branding is seen is where the physical home button is found on the S7. This either means that the fingerprint scanner is now located on the rear of the Samsung Galaxy S8 or the new phone feature an ‘under screen’ fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone pictured has a curved display, a glossy gold body, and NFC (based on the onscreen icons).

Samsung will likely unveil the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month.

Come one people. I am a Apple fan but I have to admit that this phone and even the 7edge are seriously nice looking bits of kit

The problem isn't the hardware. It never was. It still is the fact that it runs Android and therefore hardly gets updates and is riddled with holes and exploits that it is NOT secure.

Isn't that Samsung copy rumoured next iPhone specifications and then call it innovation? Samsung is a rip off company!

Samsung makes exploding phones. They try to rush to beat Apple by throwing every gimmick into their phones to see what sticks. It may look good with full of high end specifications but the phones don't last. They hardly update the OS. When the next Samsung phone comes out, they give up on the previous generation. Even before the current generation can get old, they explode. Then they blame the battery and other suppliers. Tell me, who is in charge of making sure the batteries fit and don't overheat? The phone maker or the battery maker? Who is responsible?

No one gives a crap about Samsung junk. What everyone wants to really know is, when will the stable jailbreak come out for iOS 10. Someone needs to get that released.

What's even funnier about the apple fans saying Samsung copied Apple tech, is Samsung is making the displays for the next iphone. So maybe we can call apples next phone.....iGalaxy.

OMG! I'm so surprised but not about this being a leak or not, what amazes me is how Samsung stays an Apple fan, closet one and refuses to come out... Apple works hard to keep both companies alive Hahahaha xD

Leaks like this from Samsung is just their marketing gimmick! It's not a real leak! Apple is a secretive company and leaks like this is expected by all. Fingerprint sensor is already rumored in Apple a few years ago and Samsung release a (nyey!) leak just to show they have the technology now. And once they release it and Apple release their's later, Apple's will be better and Samdroids will flood posts saying Apple copied the tech. Leaks! Hahaha! Remember it is always possible Samsung copies Apple's tech because they have the first hand designs of some components because they are Apple's supplier. By that you have a first-hand idea of what your customer/competitor is cooking and you will have the chance to copy what they have and just change how it was called. Not surprised....

Apple does the same from Iphone 5 that someone left it at a bar before it's release to iPhone 6 that someone left it in a meetings board. Apple does the same but leaves the actual phone and not pics.

Samsung using fingerprint sensor on screen make its stupid fans think apple's going to copy it on the next iPhone, They have no idea how long apple spent on testing this. Be ready guys samsung fans coming XD

Actually Apple wants to release an all from glass iPhone e which will remover the home button. Supposedly on the next iPhone, so they would be copying even thou Apple stated months ago that they wanted to do this feature. Apple needs to stfu and just release it cause when they say a rumor someone else beats them to the punch.

At least when apple releases the next iPhone, this technology will be much more reliable and usable than the same feature on Samsung, because I remember Touch ID and how Samsung copied it to the phone that they wanted to release it 2 months after and they sucked or so many other features that Samsung added to their phone without researching and stuff and they've died a month after the release of S7, S6, S5
