Yes, but once the first sim is installed it becomes married to that iPhone using that specific network. Only current workaround afterwards to an unlock is to jailbreak b4 doing so.

I called into an o2 shop today, and they told me that they would unlock any PAYG iphone if it was over 12 months old ??? but they would unlock any contract Iphone as soon as Orange started sellelling them ( next week)

Shouldn't it be the other way round given that you pay for the phone out right when you buy it on pay as you go in the first place, and so should be able to use it on any network as you please. Where s on a contract you are still paying for the phone, then you should not be able to unlock the phone.

That was my argument to the girl in the shop, but she reckons that they dont mind unlocking the contract ones, cos they will have to continue paying there contract, but with the PAYG ones, they will still get incom from top ups. Thats not true either cos, mines on Vodafone anyway
