You take a chance when you purchase their or anyone's first edition of anything. It will take a while (next generation) to get some of the bugs out. I'm sure it will be a much better device once it can do more and be compatible with more third-party apps. I don't buy that it's primarily a music device, otherwise they would have just made a great speaker. They want to compete in the smart speaker market. I think they still rushed this product to market.

The HomePod is primarily for listening to music and audio. It isn’t meant to be an AI speaker first.

I love how Apple is villainized for everything but when other companies found at fault, then it’s the acceptable norm.

you uncultured swine. the apple home pod or whatever is called is 349.99 meanwhile the sonos 1, is 149.99. paying 200+ for a "smart speaker (see all the limitations that the speaker has with siri and its own ecosystem)" its ridiculous considering that this will damage your furniture or was not stated as a warning by apple, who by the way have more than enough money to do proper research and development which almost no company has.
